The daycare teachers have a nick name for most of their kids. Matt's is Matt Attack! Yes, always with the exclamation point. If you've been around him at all recently, you'll know why the name (and the exclamation point) is so fitting. And our little Matt Attack! is turning 4 in October. I figured it was time for an update on his sizes and wants since it's been so long since I've updated anything here.
Sizes
Shirts: 5T or Youth Small (5-6)
Pants: 5 Adjustable waists are helpful. He's long and thin.
Shoes: 11
Wants - He'll recite this list in one breath with an 'and' between each one. It's so cute and funny. I've been trying to get a video of it for weeks, but keep missing it. I'll keep trying!
- A batman cape
- A batman case (like a book bag, I think...he already has a batman lunchbox)
- batman shoes
- a batman shirt (I already got him one long sleeved one...yellow with black sleeves)
- a batman hat (I got him a stocking cap too...just including all this so you get the scope of his batman love)
- star wars shirt
- star wars shoes (the boy loves his shoes)
- star wars hat (no idea which character)
- sometimes he throws in Spiderman gear too, but I have quite a few of Spidey shirts...and then he changed wanting all Batman, of course.
So, anything superhero would be safe. (Superman, Buzz Lightyear, Incredibles, etc.)
Other ideas:
- I saw that Target has a stuffed Batman doll. He might like that.
- He also likes legos (regular size)
- Imaginex figues and sets are good and come in superhero themes (he already has Buzz lightyear and Woody and a superguy with spaceship).
- I also saw a Dr. Drill & Fill by Play Doh in an ad this past weekend. He's a big fan of play doh and I think he'd especially like that set. I know I did as a kid!
And please note these are wants. He doesn't need anything except a hug and someone who'll play with him for hours on end. : )

Who???
We got new school pictures of a certain someone. I always keep old pics in the frame b/c I like to see how they've changed. I was not ready for this progression though. (these are scans and not very good ones, but I think you'll get the idea)
WHERE DID MY BABY GO!?!?
Yes, this one too.
Guess he's growing up.
(ages in order: 18 mo, 2 years, 3 years, 3.5 years and 9 mo)

Family pics
Just a few pics sharing what we've been up to recently. Tennis. Rock climbing at parks. Stomping bugs. Awesome dresses in the mail. And some getting clean in the big tub too.

A Tooth!
See the three little white dots? It's coming in behind a baby tooth that isn't loose, but it's still K's first adult tooth! (Braces have been the financial plan from the start so it's okay. )

Dreams
On the way to daycare this morning, Katelyn told us that she had a dream last night but wasn't going to tell us because it was a wishing dream. Matt said he had a dream where he cleaned up outside and got dirty. I shared that I dreamed I was building a box. Katelyn said, "well at least you had fun painting it." My reply, "no, I hadn't gotten to that point yet. I was still building it." It's quite for about 20 seconds then K responds, "Mom, you have boring dreams because you do boring work all day."
haha!
My work probably is boring in the eyes of a 5 year old. And I could probably develop some very deep meaning about my life from that comment...but I won't. I'll just try to make what I do sound more exciting.

Back Home
Aside from the kids' 3:30 am start time Easter Sunday, everyone is adjusting well to the return.
Although....I'm starting to think that Scarlett gave Matthew some tips for sneaking into Mom and Dad's bed. He keeps ending up with us. We're working on it.
And it affords me another opportunity to take pics of sleeping kids. Really, who can resist a little boy with his new rugby ball lovie?
Certainly, not me!
